One week in one day

Introduction

The experience of sculpture “one week in one day”,  wants to offer the opportunity to anyone to approach the “sacred stone” that  accompanies our work and our lives, experience the feeling of dominating and shaping the marble indulging its nature by involving all 5 senses:

observe the matter, recognize its facets, follow its evolution and enjoy it
final transformation, caress it, let it talk to you and guide you in the process, smell its
 aromas of sun and rain moss, moisten your lips at the end of the day, you will discover
that will taste new.

The day and the lesson

After the introduction by the master sculptor, who will accompany each participant in the activity and guarantee his presence for the duration of the course, we will proceed to a brief but complete sculpture experience, each participant will try on a piece of marble manual and pneumatic tools.

Once you become familiar with the subject, the participants will dedicate the last minutes to the engraving of a marble scale that they can take away with them
as a souvenir of the experience.

The management of your time is free, everyone can decide autonomously the breaks, the coffee break and
processing, obviously within the established time

Includes

• use of manual and / or pneumatic tools provided by the study, possibility to work with their own only if considered safe by the teacher
• individual safety devices supplies (headphones, work gloves, goggles and masks)
• marble supplied in shape and quantity depending on the student’s needs
• presence of the teacher throughout the course
• use of common areas (toilets with shower, cookhouse space provided with fresh water and hot beverages such as tea and coffee)
• transport from the Quarry pit to the lab and vice versa on the arrival and departure of the students
• Optional: a guided tour in the quarry can be added to the course thanks to the package marmo tour + marble sculpture courses

Price and conditions

Obligations of the participant

• each participant must be in possession of personal insurance
• it must be proper to wear suitable clothing and shoes for work
• The participant must reach the meeting place independently
• Unsuitable and dangerous behaviors involve expulsion from the course
